The Statue of Unity is a statue that has been erected by the Government of India to pay homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who was a great politician. It is the tallest statue in the world and stands over a height of around 182 meters. It is as two times tall as the Statue of Liberty in the United States. The statue is located by the Narmada River near the Sardar Sarovar Dam. The city of Vadodara is located in the south eastern part of the statue.

There is an artificial lake that surrounds the Statue of Unity along with vegetation. The statue is built on an island called the Sadhu Bet. The total area consists of around two hectares.
